You are entering into yours room after a long professional work and want to switch on yours PC and run the music from yours phone and you can do this by using yours phone as a remote device for yours PC. A phone is always with you so by using as a remote device you can achieve functionalities and also control from yours mobile.

What you need?

1.     Personal Computer with Windows as Operating System

2.     Use a Bluetooth Receiver for yours PC if it does not have Bluetooth installed. A Bluetooth receiver will cost merely two dollars in the market.

3.     A mobile phone with Bluetooth connectivity and support for Java apps

The process:

Step1:

Connect the USB Bluetooth dongle to yours PC. If yours cabinet or CPU has front USB connectivity option then use the front end other wise you can use the regular back end USB port of yours PC.

Step2:

After connecting the windows should able to connect and recognize the driver. If any additional services requires then you can use the disc which has been along with it the USB dongle. You should reboot once , the installation is completed.

Step3:

Now the Bluetooth dongle is set up. Skip this step one and two if PC has the built in Bluetooth set up. Now it is time to pair your phone with PC. Enable the Bluetooth on yours phone then go to paired devices list and scan for available devices. Take the phone nearer to PC and when the device is found, give the password, and do the similar with PC Bluetooth and give the exact password which phone does have. Now both the PC and phone devices are linked.

Step4:

Now we need to install software that will convert the keystrokes into Windows actions. One such software is the Phone Remote Control by going towww.blueshareware.com. It is a shareware with some limitations, but that will do ours job more than enough. Install the software on PC.

Step5:

Click the install Phone client button at the left end of the screen. Then, you will have to copy the files from this folder by using various connectivity options available to you like that of data cable, memory card reader, Bluetooth or WiFi. Install the application on the phone by running the JAD file on Phone.

Step6:

Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your phone; navigate to the Bluetooth RC application on the phone. Run it and then grant access to the Bluetooth. Now at the PC click on the search to find the PC server from the software interface installed earlier. The software should soon find the requisite server from phone. Then press OK to connect and open the software to see some commands imbibed within it. The mouse controller of PC lets you move the mouse pointer using the directional keys.

Step7:

Choose from the array of buttons available for the phone and link them to the key strokes of the PC. For example if you want to control the Windows media player functions from phone as remote then use the up key of the key board to increase the volume and then use the down key of the keyboard to down the volume, and so on.

Now you can easily access yours favorite multimedia anywhere and anytime from a remote. With the mouse controller feature embedded in the mobile, you don’t even need to touch the muse. You can now control each and every application of yours PC from a remote with ease. During the synchronization process you may have to adjust the software to use a COM port as mode of communication in case of some advanced Bluetooth devices.

Nice. I actually prefer not to do it. Since I like to use my phone only for calls, but I guess I’m a bit old fashion.
